Ostara - Heather, Rosemary & Black Pepper
On Ostara, another name for the Spring Equinox, the first green growth of the coming season finally begins to show. The Ostara Blend is crafted for purification and renewal after long months of cold. We combine heather, one of Ireland's first plants to flower, with cleansing rosemary and intense black pepper to create a bold, purifying scent.
All of our candles are hand-poured at our workshop using pure high quality 100% US-grown sustainable soy wax and lead-free eco-cotton wicks. Our fragrances never contain any parabens, pthalates, or acetones.
What is Ostara?
Named for the Germanic goddess Eostre, Ostara is the source of the name of the familiar modern holiday known as Easter. It falls on the Spring Equinox, when the sun is finally beginning to drift meaningfully higher into the sky and bring just enough warmth and light to start the growing season. As the ground warms, plants like heather begin to spread and bloom, and of course, the rabbits begin to mate.

CANDLE TIPS:
- Before first lighting any candle, make sure to trim the wick down to 1/4", and always trim the wick down again before relighting. We suggest wick trimmers for this purpose if candles are a constant in your life.
- The first time you light a candle, allow it to burn for at least one hour to allow the flame to form a wax pool across the entire top of the candle. This will help prevent tunneling over the course of the candle's life.
- Essential oil candles are not meant for large spaces! They are much more delicate than the synthetic fragrance oils usually found in commercial scented candles, and do not throw their scent as much as a fragrance oil does. We recommend our bougie parfumee premium scented candles, made with blends of only premium essential and fragrance oils, if you are looking for a very strong candle.
SAFETY WARNINGS:
- Always burn candles within sight.
- Never burn on or near flammable objects or drafts.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Stop using candle when less than 1/4" of wax remains.
- Container may be hot when and after candle is lit. Allow wax to cool completely before handling.
