Poulsbo Historical Society's Liberty Bay Festival
The Liberty Bay Festival is a multi-day waterfront celebration of Poulsbo’s maritime heritage, local arts, and community spirit. This year’s centerpiece is the historic Virginia V steamship—a National Historic Landmark that will be docked at the Poulsbo Marina for public tours, educational programs, and VIP cruises.
The festival will feature live music, artisan vendors, food trucks, interactive exhibits, and family-friendly activities. It is designed to attract both locals and regional visitors, with a strong emphasis on cultural tourism and historical preservation.
Festival Highlights:
- Virginia V - the Mosquito Fleet steamer
- Valkyrie - a replica of a Norwegian-built Viking ship unearthed
- Poulsbo Boats - built in the basement on Front Street, these boats were designed especially for the waters of Puget Sound
- Codfishing in Alaska - See artifacts from schooners that were homeported in Poulsbo
